My New York trip went extremely well! I was lucky enough to avoid Hurricane Sandy by flying out on Sunday. I also took extra precaution in order not to get sick this time around by take Airborne for me, and immune support vitamins for Shauna. Hand sanitizers & disinfecting wipes wasn't enough on my last trip to Ohio, so beside the extra vitamins, I made us drink orange juice throughout the trip, which is what I think made us not get sick this time around. Below are some of my favorite pictures from my trip.

LaToya Franklyn is one of the 10 finalist (Trinidad and Tobago) named for Miss Universe . She was born in Point Fortin, the smallest Borough in Trinidad and Tobago, and moved to Brooklyn, New York as a child. She attended Harvard Law School and UC Berkeley School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate Law Degree. Currently she is a lawyer trying to get a legal education certificate so she can practice law in Trinidad and throughout the Caribbean.

Tried to do the top knot and found my locks were too short, so a mini bun was created instead. Once my sisterlocks gets enough length, I will try the top knot again, and I'm sure I be wearing the top knot style a lot. I just think it so cute and chic. I originally had no plan to post these pictures, but since I decided to refresh my Jet Black color with Naturtint, I decided to show the result :).

Newbie Locks

Gwendolynne Sophia "Gwen" Moore is the U.S. Representative for Wisconsin's 4th congressional district, serving since 2005. She is a member of the Democratic Party.She is the first woman to represent the district.
