Review: Taliah Waajid Protective Mist Bodifier

8:00 AM

I got a peak of this at the Natural Hair Expo which was going on the same time as the Sisterlocks Expo. The lady recommended this for moisture control. I didn't care for it then, since I original told her I'm pretty much good on moisturizing products. She told me to just give it a try for that day, and if I still wanted to buy it, I can always get it later. I ask her a couple of questions before she sprayed it on and then I tried it for the rest of that day. I LOVE this product. I went home and the next day I purchase the bottle. I can truly say this bottle was a success for me. So I have upgraded to this moisturizer. See Full Review Below.

Below are question I ask myself when trying a new product.

  1. What are the ingredients
  2. Is it Natural?
  3. What's the Benefits?
  4. Any Side Effect? Ex. Does it causes build up?
When I find a product that I like, I rarely change it, and if I do, it's for the better.

Review of the Taliah Waajid Protective Mist Bodifier.

A little goes a long way with this product. I didn't dilute this at all since I used very little of it. The way I apply it was simple. I sprayed the moisturizer on my fingers, rub it between my fingers, and then distributed it evenly through my locks. I tested this product for a total of two weeks. Right away I notice how soft my locks felt since it was truly well moisturized. I was able to finally stop spraying my locks with water every day. I'm totally happy with Taliah Waajid Protective Mist Bodifier.

I tend to be very careful and anal with any product I put on my hair. I take pictures of my hair every day to make sure it doesn't cause build up. I also take pictures of my hair when I wash it, to see if any of the products lingers.

Likes
- Only needs 1 application
- Little to no water needed
- Not that greasy
- Doesn't linger ( Cause residue)
- Love the Pina Colada smell. Not overpowering.

Dislike
- It's very thick. So you can't just spray it on your locks.

Ingredients
Water, Propylene Glycol, Cetearth-20, Cetrimonium Bromide, Wheat Germ, Indian Hemp Seed Oil, Olive Oil, Aloe Vera, Bee Pollen, Silk Amino Acid, Bay Laurel, DMDM, Hydantoin, Fragrance

Do I recommend this product? Yes! I would only recommend this for extremely dry FULLY settle sisterlocks. Now some of you ladies & gentlemen are wondering about my issue with dryness. I will explain in detail in an upcoming post about dryness and why some hair type are more prone to dryness then others (especially chemical treated hair - colored), and why I fall under that category.

My current product as of now is shampoo, conditioner, and this Moisturizer. I still use Regrow Massage Oil for the area that thin out midyear. I don't use Sea Breeze anymore since I wash my hair more frequently now and that help combat the itchy scalp.
I'm heading off to my trip to Saint Lucia!!!! To all my subscribers -> Have a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Years. I also want to send a warm thank you to all the ladies that have commented on my blog. You guys keep me going. Stay bless and much love!

  1. I just want to say I love this blog. This is my first time in here. I am beginning my Sisterlock Journey on Dec.28 and I have a few questions. Your blog has been very helpful, great photos, and very well organized.

I also love you honesty in dealing with hair thinning because that is something I have struggled with. It also my only hesitation in getting Sisterlocks.

    Great Blog keep it up.

  2. People like you keep me going to tell you the truth =). Thanks for the comment again. Sisterlocks will not be the cause of the hair thinning, and if you are aware that you have issue with it, then you also are aware that you can do thing to help with that issue. I hope you also had someone look at your issue, because it will also help you find closure in knowing what you have. I know it helped me. Welcome to the sisterlocks family and remember to take plenty of pictures, you be surprise how much your hair will changes.

  3. Hi Kreyola! I'm happy you like this product. I did try it and found it to be too heavy. Your right you would have to put a little in your hands and rub into hair. I prefer my Rosemary/Peppermint/Grapefruit EO spritz for my moisturizer. Now I do like TW black soap shampoo and the TW conditioner. The conditioner left my locks soft and it smells really good. Right now I'm using the Carol's Daughter Rosemary Mint Shampoo & Conditioner.

  4. @Naturally. I hear a lot of people talk about Carol's Daughter Rosemary Mint Shampoo & Conditioner, when my Shampoo and Conditioner is done; I will have to give her product a try. It won't hurt since it has one of my favorite ingredients on it which is "Rosemary". As for the TW moisturizer, it is heavy, and a little goes a long way. Like I explain in my post, I spray a little on my hand and rub it evenly through my locks, and that is the best way I found to do it. Thanks so much for commenting on my posts.
