What I Wore: High Low Lace Dress at Fort Myers
8:20 AMBelow is the dress I wore to visit Sanibel Island & Fort Myers Beach over thew weekend. Since it rained the whole time I was there, I only was able to do one outfit post. I still had a great time though and I hoped everyone had a great and enjoyable weekend as well.
Sanibel Island is cool little island off the city of Fort Myers. In order to get to Sanibel Island, you need to cross over a causeway, which stretch over the ocean connecting Sanibel and the city of Fort Myers.
Once you have arrived on the island, I highly recommend driving around, because this little island really does look like its own little paradise with its colorful buildings and tons of restaurants. Sanibel boosts one of the unique barrier islands of the world because it is an east-west orientation island, when most islands are north-south. That is why this island is gifted with great white sandy beaches, and an abundance of shells. Most tourists usually come for the awards winning shelling at the beach, and of course as having one of the best beaches located in Florida. If you someone who love shelling (as my daughter does), then you should check out Bowman's Beach, which the local raves about for its abundance of shells, especially after a storm.
Fort Myers (Beach)
While driving to Fort Myers, the drive alone confirms why the state of Florida is known for being the capital for thunderstorm (Fort Myers came in second as the stormiest city). If you never experienced a thunders storm, take a drive through Florida during the raining season. The skies get lit up with activities that will blow your breath always.
Why visiting Fort Myers, it was interesting to find out that Fort Myers rarely get cold (it is classified as a humid subtropical climate), and hosts the winter homes of Thomas Edison (Seminole Lodge) and Henry Ford (The Mangoes), which are both primary tourist attractions in the region. I enjoyed the beaches area the most at Fort Myers, and that is where I spent most of my time.
