Early Days of Being Sisterlocks - Sharing Some Chuckles.

So I was browsing through my photo album with my daughter, and I just happen to look at my sisterlocks in its early stages. Now that I'm looking at them, I did kind of have strange looking locks.

My friends are now admiring my sisterlocks, but that was not always the case. They honestly thought they were super ugly in the beginning. I did not think they were ugly then, but I guess when you want something so bad, and love it so much, you don't see the ugliness?

Hopefully as my hair continue to grow and settle, one of my friend will decided to join the natural side. Enjoy the early stage pictures.

Two month in my journey, my locks started to do the "puff" thing. I had no idea what the heck I was working with, or what was happening, but I still loved them though. One of my friends, at the one of our daily meetings, said I should have stick with the Afro, because that what my sisterlocks look like. The eye I give her made her drop that topic quick. Now that I'm looking at it, I guess she had a valid point LOL.

Left & Right Pictures: During this stage I was call the poodle that had the amazing color job. When I decided to wear fake eye lashed (never again but right picture) I was told I look like a deer stuck in the headlights. LOL I guess it was true LOL. Not funny then, but I like honesty with anyone I deal with, so yeah they still my friends =).

Left is another so called poodle shot? Right is a picture of me trying to do a Mohawk? Ouch on the roots & sides. I will not do that again, and at the same time the Mohawk look like a puff up row. People at the party were trying to figure out what the heck was on my hair. They didn't look like locks then.

So there you go. Now when people see my sisterlocks, they know it "sisterlocks". So there it is, the light at the end of the tunnel. Please enjoy the sisterlocks that are looking more lovely everyday =).
