Awkward Stage With My Sisterlocks.
1:27 PMMy sisterlocks are not short, but at the same time they are not long either, which puts my current length at a very irritating stage right now. My sisterlocks right now are bugging the heck out of my neck. Basically what my locks are doing is this, instead of naturally flowing to the back and passing my neck, my sisterlocks are bending causing the buds to poke my neck...UGH. I'm trying not to wear my locks in a ponytail every single day, but my locks are really irritating my neck right now. I really need them to hurry up and get pass my neck area, and into my upper shoulder blades area. That is the only way I can relax and enjoy my journey once again. I may have to come up with some more creative updo in the mean time to take care of the neck irritation problem I'm currently suffering from.
Below are pictures of how I wear my sisterlocks majority of the time. If my hair is irritating me, I just put them up like below. If anyone has a suggests on how to get pass this stage peacefully, please let me know.
My sisterlocks needs a black color refresh again, this time around I will apply it the day before my schedule retighten.

I don't know what to say. I do understand the situation you're in. My locs are just touching the back of my neck. But I love it! I'm just thrilled to see them growing. I rarely want to wear updos because of this.
ReplyDeleteTrust me I completely understand what you mean about when your locks just first starting to touch your neck. For me the issue started happening right after it started to slightly pass my neck into my shoulder. Certain clothes make my lock bend vs. just having my locks going over the clothes. That is where the issue is annoying. Imagining having your buds keeps poking your neck. When the bending stops, I know that will fix the irritation problem.

ReplyDeleteThanks Naturally...I thought you were pass that stage due to how long your lock are. Hmmm..I guess this stage will be here for a lot longer then I though.
ReplyDeletethis is my situation right now, since my hair has decided to shrink back about 4-5 inches. Just awkward, thick and noncompliant

ReplyDeleteLOL...I think "unruliness" fit perfectly here when you are in the teenager stage of sisterlocks :D. It will soon be over...trust me.
