What I Wore: Zebra Midi Skirt

8:53 AM

I have been eyeing a nice crop top for this skirt for a while now, but for today, I wanted to see if I can wear this skirt to work successfully. I decided on a bright purple top to bring out the zebra pattern of this skirt. Since today I was in no mood to be a giant (I tend to be 6'0 to 6'2 with heels), I decide to wear my dressier flats to complete this look.

Hat off to all the fashion bloggers out there!!! I never realize how much work is involved in doing this until I started this journey myself. There are days I just want to stop, and today I have to say are one of those days. I'm just frustrated with the outcome of my photos lately. I take multiply shots, and when I look at my camera, they all look fine, but when I open them on my computer, in full view they are all blurry. I guess I need to relax and learn from my mistakes, since I’m new to this, but dang this is getting frustrating.

I hate the perfectionism in me, because it drives me nuts when I can’t figure things, and honestly I’m clueless into why certain photo-shoot comes out prefect and others do not, especially when my settings are the same...ugh. I hope everyone had a great weekend and thanks again for all the lovely comments! I also finally decided to curl my hair and I'm lovely the result.

  1. I love this look! The zebra print is so much fun, and I think the purple button up makes it perfect for work. And fashion blogging is hard! I try to post a few outfit posts a week, but it's a ton of work. On my busy days, it's so much easier to type up a lifestyle post...this is perhaps the reason I haven't plunged full force into fashion blogging :) But you always have amazing posts and impeccable style! Thank you for all of your hard work, because your readers love the end result!

  8. Aw, you are definitely being too hard on yourself! I think you look great and your photos turned out great. But, I know what you mean - it's easy to compare to people who have been doing this a long time and/or have professional help and feel less confident in comparison. BUT...for me I've had to learn to just block all that out and focus on enjoying the journey, the friendships, doing the best I can and letting it just be. I'm glad to have found you through blogging and would hate for you to quit when I just met you!

  16. Girl Love, Love, Love your Hair! It was the First thing I noticed after opening! Sis, you are the ish! Bee U Tee Full! :) Purple was an Excellent choice with the Zebra ... the color contrast is Amazing! Cute D'Orsay cap toe flats were the Perfect finishing touch! ;) #Classy

Pics are fine! Sure it's Mini that takes the Good ones! Yep know what a pain it is trying to be Perfectionist! Reluctantly I'll support your decision to fire your other photographer ... :) LMBO

Not that you'll listen to me??? o_O Try bringing a laptop with ya and adjust/kick the lens if you aren't satisfied with the first shots, but first check with the local community colleges! Students that need subjects for their portfolio/future business might take them for Free, giving you the opportunity to do multiple shoots at once! Or ask a professional photographer, talk with a local camera shop, Walmart or Google for help ... Because knowing you, you won't rest/be satisfied/happy until you have the Perfect shots! #Hardheaded lol :)

Hope y'all had a Great Weekend and Have an even Better Day Today! =D

BTW Don't worry I had to be up early today ... talk at ya later! :)

    1. Yeah my sisterlocks did look on point. My photographer is getting annoyed with me, so what can I do? It back to the drawing board lol.

I'm going to hunt and ask questions until I'm doing these pictures right. I do need to look at the bright side though, I have come a LONG way...lol

Take care Cheri, and hope you have a wonderful week :D.

    1. Really? I notice with this type of skirt, if you look at it up-close, it look unflattering, but far away it is really nice. Pictures really don't do it justice. Thanks for the comment as always Darcy.
