I got tag by Takei Inspiration to share a little more information about me. Below are the questions and the answers. If you curious about anything else, please let me know by commenting below. I'm super curious to find out if you guys are surprised by any of my answers (lurkers included).
1. Are you named after someone?
I wasn't named after anyone per say, but I was given the name Sheila by the nurse that helps delivered me at the hospital. Apparently my mom never came up with a name while she was pregnant with me for nine months (there has to be a story behind that -_-). So even though the nurse could have named me anything, she chooses Sheila (pretty boring huh).
By the way....Ever heard of the song "Oh Sheila" by Ready For The World?
By the way....Ever heard of the song "Oh Sheila" by Ready For The World?
Oh
Oh Sheila
Let me love you 'till the morning comes.
Oh
Oh Sheila
You know I want to be the only one.
It never fails, when I tell people my name is Sheila, they instally start singing the "Oh Sheila" song -_- =).
2. When was the last time you cried?
I really hate crying, especially in front of my daughter, but I did cried a month ago in the darkness of my room. I think I was really hormonal that day, and finding out I had to move just did it for me.
Yes, I have a beautiful daughter who is currently eight years old and is full of energy. Right now she is very lanky, and her family members are always teasing her about that fact.
4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
Of course, I woud consider myself to be a family member more than a friend. I don't burn briges, and I think friends and family are super important. Plus I'm super goofy at times, have a weird sense of humor, and really lay back (the PREFECT companion).
5. Do you have a guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure is Oreos top off with extra creamy whipped cream. I swear my eyes are rolling now as I type, I mean I'm literally day dreaming about those cookies melting in my mouth (ran out of those sucker last Friday).
6. Do you like your handwriting?
No, and thank goodness I work mainly with computers, but when I do happen to write, even I can't understand my writing half of the time. In fact, I'm still trying to figure out WHY my signatures changes every year???? My handwriting suck big time, and this date back to elementary school. There is NO hope for my handwriting....none.
My friends when they try to read my handwritings. Thanks goodness we have pretty fonts (*dreaming about prettying floating fonts now*).
7. What’s your favorite cereal?
I don't like cereal, but if I'm going to eat cereals, it will be between Honey Bunches of Oats or Honey Nut Cheerios. I can't really eat sweet things in the morning or I get really bad stomach cramps. I have tried to research the reason for years, so far I seem to be the only odd one that get cramps when I eat anything sweet first, and I prefer sweet cereals vs. plain. Note: If I eat eggs or anything salty first, I can then eat the sweet cereals and the pancakes etc. later.
8. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
Their smile and then their teeth. Once I'm past that, I tend to notice how they talk or how they carry themselves. I have to admit, I'm not a fan of straight up rude or loud people. If you being rude to an elderly or even your parents, you denfiftny lose your cool points with me.
9. What is your eye color?
9. What is your eye color?
My eye color is brown and I wear contacts lens because I'm near sighted. If I'm ever get caught driving without my contacts or glasses, I can get arrested. I don't mess with the POPOs, so I carry a pair of glasses just incase my contact lens decides to split right in the middle of me designing something (hates when that happens -_-).
10. Scary movie or happy endings?
I LOVE scary movies, but I prefer happy ending more. If I'm watching a movie or a tv series, nothing depressions me more than a sad ending. I can't stand it, and the ones that has me crying with snots coming out of my nose are the worst...ugh.
I can totally relate...why he had to died...WHY???
11. Favorite tv show?
I really don't have a favorite show per say. I enjoy watching the The Walking Dead, and the Game of Throne, but right now I'm into Korean Drama. I do crazy marathon on those bad boys LOL.
12. Summer or Winter?
Hmmm... We don't get much winter here in South Florida. Our version of winter is low 40's -50's mostly, and on rare occasion the low 30's. So I'm going to have to go with Summer, and that is due to the wonderful beaches we have here.
13. Hugs or Kisses?
Right now I'm going to have to say kisses, because my daughter has made it her mission in life for me to give her kisses every night before she goes to bed.
14. What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?
For Distance, I would say Las Vegas,United States. To another country, that would have to be Quebec, Canda. Hoping to change this answer in the future to Greece and many more places.
15. Do you have any special talents?
Not really, beside design, I can dance pretty well. I love dancing to Kompa music, and I'm usually dancing like below if my partner knows how to lead right.
16. Where were you born?
I was born in Miami, Florida at a very well known hospital (Jackson Memorial Hospital). To my regret, I don't have any pictures of me when I was young (no baby pictures either), which has become a very sore and painful issue in my life. Maybe that is why I take tons of pictures now =).
17. What are your hobbies?
Reading, Dancing, Traveling, Hiking, Running, Weight Training and of course Blogging. FYI...traveling is my hobby but it can be a lifestyle for others. Either way, I think it is necessary to borden your horzen a bit, and the things you learn from traveling will be with you for the rest of your life.
18. Do you have any pets?
No pet as of now, but in th future I will be getting a dog since my daughter wants one. I'm just waiting for her to be a little older so she can walk the dog herself ^_-. Below is what I think my pet will look like, BUT I'm adopting my future pet from the pound (say no to animal cruelity).
19. Favorite movie?
I don't have a favorite movie. I can tell you movies (KD Dramas) I won't mind watching again, but I have no favorites. But below are samples of movies and dramas I wouldn't mind having on repeat if I'm bored.
1. Drag Me to Hell
2. The Exorcist
3. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
4. Secret Gardens (Korean Drama)
5. Personal Taste ( Korean Drama)
20. What color is your car?
A super cool granny ( I don't want to be grumpy nor miserable one)
English DJ Ruth Flowers, she is 69 year-old granny and is rocking as a DJ.
This was super fun to do, and I hope the person that I tag would share their own info on their blog (or in the comments section below if no blog).
Tag: Cheri (not aware of any blog), Diana Ashuayem at Effortless Lady, Sophia at Sophia La Style, Sarah Enuwa Audu at Princess Audu, Terez at Naturalicioushair, and finally pHenomenalhairstylist at PhenomenalhairCare. I had a lot more, but I cut it down to these few, since I'm super curious about their answers. Didn't want to overwhelm everyone.

So last weekend, I received a visit form a fellow blogger who awarded me with the "Stylish Blogger Award", and I wanted to send a warm thank you to her.
Kreyola: because she has experienced alopecia areata and survived (*grin*) and writes fairly informative articles on Sisterlocks and hairloss.
Now on to the Acceptance Speech *kidding*
Below are 7 facts about me
Bajan Lily give me the award because...
Kreyola: because she has experienced alopecia areata and survived (*grin*) and writes fairly informative articles on Sisterlocks and hairloss.
Now on to the Acceptance Speech *kidding*
Below are 7 facts about me
1. My mom, little brother, and I will get bout of hair lost when we are hit with high stress. I first notice it happening to my mom, then it happened to me, and then my brother had a turn. My brother and I were able to recover, but my mom is still struggle till this day with hair loss.
2. I learn how to really read and write when I got to high school (the school in Miami Dade wasn't all that great back in those day). I still struggle at times, and will constantly go back and see where I can improve, especially where my writing skill is concern. That is why I tend to avoid shorting wording words when I text or even type, for example I don't do "U" for "You" or Pls for "Please" or "Thx" for "Thanks", because I fear that I would regress in my writing skill. Strange I know, and I hope one day it won't be a constant struggle, and I can let this pickiness go. I know I still have issues, but I do see improvements, and hopefully you guys can bear along with me and correct me if you see anything glaring =).
3. I have a beautiful daughter who is my WORLD. She is my best friend and the love of my life currently. She still tries to protect me, even though she is only five, and barely weight 37 pounds.
4. I a technology geek, I own my first computer at the tender age of sixteen (Window Me OS), and was developing website before I even knew there were a career in it. Now I currently own a computer, laptop, Kindle, iPod (backup of over 6.6 gig of music), and an iPhone. I think iPad is dumb, and that is why it’s not on my list, but if I ever win one, I won’t turn it down lol.
5. I take ton of pictures, and this all steam from the fact that I don't have any picture of me as a baby nor as a young girl. Pictures to me are memories that need to be kept, and shared, and I'm bound and determined to do so.
6. I love to dance and I mean "I LOVE" to dance. I use to get wild in the club until I started getting hit on by some 20 - 23 years old , and when I try to politely turn them down, I get the dumb comments "Oh I like older women". I never thought being 28 years old was old o_O. So now I stick to Zumba, and house party where I can dance to Kompa music etc.
7. I'm used to be very shy when I was younger; I had my first boyfriend at the age of 21, which had my friends thinking I was gay. I wasn’t gay I assure you, I was just shy! I remember going to college one day, and a super cute guy ask for my number, but I was so shy that I blur out that I have a boyfriend *face palm*, till this day I still shake my head in horror. It also very hard for me to say "NO" to anyone that I consider my friends and families, even though some people in the past has taken advantage of that fact. I somewhat grew out of my shyness, but I still can't say "no" to my friends etc.
Below are the reasons why I awarded this award to these fellow bloggers.
