TAG: Get to Know Me -- Round II

9:58 AM

I did another tag post  a while back, so if you like this one, you will really like the other one, because it is in a very similar format.

1. What's your worst habit?
My worst habit has to be what I like to call my “Sleep Interaction”, which basically means sudden movement or talking while I’m asleep.

I noticed it tends to happens when I’m really tired, at a unfamiliar location, or when I have eaten very badly. This habit has proved to be super embarrassing, especially when you happen share a room with your friends (who have no idea) and all of the sudden; you are screaming in the middle of the night “There is something on the wall”. …”Don’t you see it?” Some of them really thought I was possessed on my last trip to Las Vegas... (*chuckling*).

Honestly though, you have no idea how many time I’m have scared the daylights out of my friends due to this “Sleep Interactions”. My travel buddy (who I went to Greece with) has gotten used to it by now, so when I have an episode, she usually tell me to go back to sleep, after I have scream in the middle of the night for NO APPARENT REASON.

2. What do you put on your froyo (frozen yogurt)?

I’m fortunate (or maybe not) that I have a Yogurtland about 10 min away from my place, I always end up going with the same topping EVERY time. I tend to add white chocolate chips, gummy bears, and those pomegranate juice balls.

Even now,  I’m seriously craving for some frozen yogurt, but at about $8-$9 a pop each time I go there, it has become a super "rare" treat between my daughter and I. Normally it is a reward of some kind for my daughter…cough...cough…and myself.

3. If you had to choose between traveling 5 years into the past or 5 years into the future, which would you choose and why? (And no you can't say neither!)

There is really nothing five years ago I would change, so I would have to go 5 years in the future, and see if I napped anyone yet. I would also like to know if I’m still living in Florida, because I have been craving to move to another state lately.

4. If you could change your name, what would you change it to? Why?

Serena…because I LOVED Sailormoon while growing up, and I always wonder what it would have been like to have my name as my favorite character. I was very tempted to name my daughter that, but I change my mind when I found the meaning of Shauna.

Note: Shauna means "Gift from God" and that meaning ring home to me, since I was going through some tough time, and I had such negative thoughts back then.

5. What song do you have on repeat right now?

“Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran. That song takes me back to days when R&B and POP was nice and soulful. I have another one too, but I was told me to pick one, so I pick one :(.

6. What cause or issue in this world are you passionate about?

Good education and giving everyone a chance to get out of poverty through grants or scholarship. When you living in poverty, sometime it’s hard to think outside the world you live in.

I was fortunate enough that I was able to get some grants, combine with my Bright Future Scholarship, which in turned helped me be where I’m today. Now my college fund was not completely paid off by these two items, but it did help me not feel so helpless with a possibility of a huge debt on my shoulder nor having to put undue stress on my parents for money.

7. Online shopping or in-store shopping?

Online Shopping is my pick. I may be the only one that feels this way, but I feel that in-store shopping is sooo overwhelming.

For example, sometime I am looking for one particular item, and it takes forever to find it, or sometime I don’t find it at all. With the Internet, I can just Google it, check out the look, sizing and buy it from there. If it doesn't fit right, I can either return or tailor it.

The only downsize of the Internet is that what you see on the picture; sometime vary what you see in person. I remember one time I purchased a dress that was supposed to be “white’ and it was listed as white, but it turned out be “egg shell” white. I was super annoyed about it, and I was having a conversation about it at lunch with the ladies and gent (we have some), and some of the male coworkers couldn't understand the big deal about the colors, which they thought were the same.

Well let me tell you, there is a HUGE different between white and eggshell white…get with the program -_-.

8. What style trend have you tried in the past that now makes you cringe?

I have to go with the high-waist acid jeans for sure. No matter how much I try to make use of those jeans, I just hate how it looks on me. So as I write this, I’m giving up on those jeans as of right now.

9. What is one thing that turns you off about a guy?

Irresponsibility is my number pet peeve with a guy. If a man goes through life not caring, no matter how much you nag, he won’t change, unless he is willing to change for himself…not for you, but for himself.

10. If you had to pick one fashion designer to be loyal to for 1 year, who would you choose?

Hands down I have to say it would be Michael Kors I have always been a huge fan of his, and I hope one day I get to add some more pieces to my collection. So far I only have one item (can that even count as a collection?), and it is my sandal that I went to Greece with.

Well I hope you enjoy this tag, which was called out by Cha Cha the Fashion Genius. I know I'm suppose to tag someone, but heck, I did this post, so there is it lol. Thanks for reading :D.
